Who is Responsible for the problems in America?

Years after the end of the Viet Nam war, reports of live American Soldiers kept filtering in. Then I began meeting desperate families of these these men. The officials, for years, had kept them quiet with promises of sensitive negotiations going on. As years faded by,  hope for their sons was being lost. The major media was letting the memory of these soldiers slip out of public view. “There’s nothing new to say” said the media.  What could anyone do? I felt sorry for the families, but were these missing American soldiers my responsibility? I’m just an average guy, and than it hit me. If these fellow citizens couldn’t rely on the American public (including me) who could they rely on…Tibet. We were all they had. We need to kept them in the public conscious and in the news, Bob a brother of a missing man told me.  Well I had a horse and if I rode it to Washington D.C., holding a flag maybe we could get the newspapers to print a story. Whoa, I thought, Washington is over 400 miles away. What would I hope people in this country would do if I was the one sitting in a prison camps? This blog is the continuing story of almost two years on horseback crossing the American Continent and into the soul of America.
